Timezones are a constant headache. Converting between them, adding or changing daylight savings time offsets, all of it is just a mess.

A few weeks ago, we were complaining about this problem at work and someone brought up Swatch Internet Time. See also the official Swatch .beats page.

Those of us who remembered Swatch time had a good laugh and had fun explaining it to those who had never heard of it. Like any good workplace joke, the idea of using .beats instead of timezone-based times simply will not die.

So I give you the newest incarnation of my Pebble watchface complete with .beats below the local time.

Watchface with .beats

Internet time lives on, at least in my watch. And now I can annoy my coworkers who keep bringing up Swatch time by telling them what time it is in .beats.
