The script part: I really like the application I use to write stories (Scrivener), but the HTML it generates is awful. It hard codes sizes which makes it look okay, but it kind of defeats the purpose of having variable fonts and widths on the web and in e-readers. Changing it to sane HTML isn't hard to do by hand, but it's tedious. "I'll write a script," I thought, "to do the conversion for me." After spending several hours trying to get the output just right, I gave up for the time being and edited the short story by hand. Maybe later I'll be in the mood to fix the script.
