Willie and I visited some friends on Sunday and I made a blueberry buckle to take for dessert. I couldn't decide between a cobbler and a coffee cake and Willie suggested the buckle, which is like a really dense cake with lots of blueberries and crumb topping.
It's Alton Brown's recipe and it's tasty, as expected. The only comment people had was that some lemon juice or rind in the cake batter would go well with the blueberries. I'll try that next time. We certainly have the blueberries to experiment with.
