Last year, when I got my new digital camera, I was wishing for geotagging of the pictures. So, Willie got me an Eye-Fi memory card. It looked like a good solution for a reasonable price.
But for some reason, I was just technology illiterate when it came to using the uploader and website. It seemed to require me to upload the pictures in their original (huge) size, and I didn't seem to have an option to upload them privately, and I didn't get geotagging without uploading. I was annoyed and didn't use it very much. I eventually figured out the image size and privacy settings, but the geotagging was still an issue.
Recently, the Eye-Fi folks changed how their software works. Now I get a desktop client for managing the card's settings and it's much easier to choose the upload size. Even better, it will upload the images to iPhoto without me having to plug the camera in. Now we're talking!
