Peanut Butter Balls
These were a tradition at Christmas when I was growing up. My mom didn't use a recipe, so here's my attempt at quantification with her ingredients. Makes about 2 dozen 1/2-inch balls.
Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp butter, melted
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1/3 cup powdered sugar
- 1/3 cup quick oats
- 1 Tbsp wheat germ
- 2 cups chocolate chips or dipping chocolate
Directions
- Combine all ingredients in a medium sized bowl until well mixed.
- Refrigerate for 1 hour.
- Form the dough into small 1/2-inch balls and place in a 13x9-inch pan.
- Freeze the balls for at least 1 hour.
- Melt the chocolate. Coat the balls in the chocolate and place on a greased plate or pan to harden.
